Kitchen tip
Press and dry the tofu well before marinating, and leave space between the cubes. An overcrowded tray creates steam instead of a crisp crust.
FAQ
How do I make the tofu really crispy?
Use firm tofu, remove as much moisture as possible, coat it evenly with cornstarch and bake in a single layer. Turn it only when the underside releases easily.
Can I cook the tofu in an air fryer?
Yes. Air-fry at 200°C for 12–15 minutes, shaking halfway through. Roast the vegetables separately in the oven or cook them in batches.
What can I use instead of soy sauce?
Tamari has a very similar flavor and is often gluten-free, while coconut aminos are milder and less salty. Check the product label for your dietary needs.
