Ingredients
- Garlic - 3 cloves
- Tomatoes - 800 g
- Onion - 1 pc
- Salt - 1 tsp
- Pepper - 0.5 tsp
- Chicken Broth - 600 ml
- Olive Oil - 2 tbsp
- Basil - 10 leaves
Directions
Step 1
Heat olive oil in a pot over medium heat.
Step 2
Sauté chopped onion and garlic until translucent.
Step 3
Add chopped tomatoes and chicken broth, bring to a simmer.
Step 4
Cook 15Â minutes, then stir in basil leaves.
Step 5
Using an immersion blender, purée until smooth.
Step 6
Season with salt and pepper, and serve warm.
Cook's Notes
For extra richness, stir in a splash of cream or top with a basil leaf.
