Ingredients

  • Oats - 1 cup
  • Water - 4 cups
  • Salt - 1 pinch

Directions

  • Step 1

    Soak 1 cup of rolled oats in 4 cups of cold water for 10 minutes.

  • Step 2

    Drain and rinse the oats thoroughly to remove sliminess.

  • Step 3

    In a blender, combine soaked oats with 4 cups fresh water and a pinch of salt.

  • Step 4

    Blend on high speed for 30 seconds until smooth but not foamy.

  • Step 5

    Strain through a fine-mesh sieve or nut-milk bag into a jug.

  • Step 6

    Store in the fridge and shake well before use.

Cook's Notes

For a smoother milk, strain twice; avoid over-blending to reduce sliminess.
